Hot metal being poured from a crucible into a cast.
Hand Casting
Our cast metal signs are made from a heavy casting alloy that will not rust or corrode.

To achieve the raised lettering and a high relief motif each house sign is individually cast using the traditional sand casting process.

Our skilled foundry-men make a mould of the house name plaque into which the molten metal is poured.

After cooling, the mould is broken open and the house sign removed.

It is then cleaned, primed and stove enameled.

The last stage is the hand painting of the lettering and motif where applicable.
